How to Clean Clogged Igniters

One of the common problems with gas ranges is that they can get clogged by foods due to spillage. These food morsels block the gas ports, which could then prevent ignition. It’s easy to clean the burner and remove the clogs by following these steps

  • Disconnect power to the range for safety reasons.
  • Remove the burner.
  • Use household detergent mixed with some water. Dip the burner in this solution and use a soft cloth to clean it properly.
  • Dry the burner and replace it. Afterwards, turn on both the power and gas supply.
